Am I a bad blogger?

I apologize to all my fans (that means you, Roland). I do not blog enough to deserve a blog.

Turning over a new leaf - I promise this time!

The tomatoes have been processed and sealed in mason jars that now sit comfortably in the kitchen. I picked, chopped, cooked, milled and canned pounds of tomatoes. I am almost an old hand at it now.

We've used the puree to make the sweetest cream of tomato soup you can imagine and fresh tangy pasta sauce. I cannot express the great difference fresh or freshly canned tomatoes make. Yes, I see nothing wrong with a grocery store tin of crushed, diced, whole or pureed tomato, but comparing it to your own, freshly picked and canned tomato puree is impossible. Our fresh tomatoes, even in their preserved form, are so sweet! So bright! So delicious... if you haven't already, get yourself a tomato patch and can some tomatoes next summer.
